THE THICK-WALLED PIPES PANELS FOR COOLING THE BODY OF ELECTROARC FURNACES

"Azovmashprom" has mastered manufacture of panels from thick-walled pipes with much increased (on 30 % - 40 %) service life. The panels for cooling the electroarc furnace body executed as the welded design, consisting of preliminary bent coils from pipes ø73 x 10 mm, ø76 x 12 mm, and other parts, welded to each other with the aid of connecting elements in the compact pipe design. The panels are manufactured as a flat (for example, the rectangular or triangular form in horizontal projection) or the spatial design, having curvature, the necessary for installation such panels inside lining of furnace body.

Hydraulic tests of such panels at pressure р = 2,5 N/mm2, that in three times exceed the working pressure, and also application of other quality monitoring guarantee reliable work of panels at high, cyclically changing temperatures of lining and body of electric furnace. The main difference of panels - the pipe wall thickness, that increased from 8-10 up to 12 mm (O73-76 mm) - is reached by application at the "Azovmashprom" the advanced technology of bending and by use of more powerful bending equipment, that allow to carry out the operations of hot and cold bending of pipes from steel 10, 20 (St.47-2, St.52-3) the minimal radius R40.
