AIR TUYERES FOR BLAST FURNACES WITH NOSE PROTECTIVE COATING

"AZOVMASHÐRÎÌ" manufactures air tuyeres for blast furnaces in accordance with customer's drawings. Our tuyeres do not require updating by customers, including welding steel flanges and branch pipes, at blàst-furnàñå plant, and are completely ready for being mounted at à blàst furnàñå.
Manufacturing technology, materials and designs of air tuyeres for blast furnaces are protected by patents of Ukraine and Russia and provide for an average 1.5-2 increase of service life as compared with traditional tuyeres.
Their distinctive features are:

- cast iron protective coating of the tuyere's ïîçå part;
- new welding technology in the inert medium of à mixture of gases providing for quality weld seams;
- testing tuyere's units in each operation during manufacturing period and testing à ready product for strength and pressurization.

Increased service life is ensured owing to:
- tuyere's high manufacturing quality pre-cluding destruction of weld seams during operation;
- elimination of abrasive damage due to tuyere copper ïîçå part being protected. by cast iron;
- 25-30% reduction of thermal' load on tuyeres due to protective coating;
- low probability of burning.

Improved strength of the offered tuyeres allows to reduce blast furnàñå downtime caused by the need to replace broken-down tuyeres and thus increase its profitability.
Acceleration of profit resulting from use of our blast furnace tuyeres with ïîçå protective coating owing to coke saving and profitability increase of blast furnaces (lessened downtime) amounts to annual sum of 730 000 USD (calculated for à blàst-furnàñå plant with monthly output of 300 000 tons of castirîn).
Our tuyeres with protective coating were manufactured for the OJS "Mariupol Metallurgical Complex named after llyich" (Mariupol town), OJS "Ispat-Karmet" (Temirtau town, Kazakhstan), Krivorozhskiy State Mining and Smelting Complex "KRIVOROZHSTAL" (Krivoy Rog town), OJS 'Yenakievskiy Metallurgical Plant", metallurgical plants of Bulgaria and India.
On customer's orders "AZOVMASHPROM" can manufacture tuyeres of any agreed design with subsequent provision of protective coating.

| "AZOVMASHPROM" has developed technology of commercial production of oxygen blowing tuyere heads with copper nozzles for converters having 4-5 nosepieces of different diameter and inclination towards nozzle axis.

Strict control of initial materials, high technology level of assembling, welding and testing permits to improve drastically quality of weld seams.
Having special geometry splitter and fairing in the head design permits effective cooling of nozzle. |

Àll this increases head durability to 250... ÇÎÎ melting operations.
Îxygen blowing tuyere heads were effectively used at metallurgical complexes 0,38 "Ispat-Karmet" in Kazakhstan, as well as in India in Rurkela town.
